Rechtsanwalt / Associate (m/w/d) – Investment Law in Myanmar

About the role

Luther, a leading German corporate law firm, is expanding its Yangon office and seeks a motivated lawyer to join the team as an Associate. You will support multinational investors, local conglomerates and international organisations with legal advice on structuring investments and commercial transactions in Myanmar.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal and regulatory advice on investment structuring in Myanmar.
• Review, draft and negotiate commercial contracts and agreements.
• Assist with transaction-related matters, including due diligence.
• Deliver timely legal guidance to MNCs, SMEs, embassies and NGOs to minimise risk.
• Conduct legal research and prepare presentations for clients.

Required profile

• Law degree with a strong academic record and admission to the bar in your home jurisdiction.
• 0–2 years of experience as a practising lawyer; experience abroad is a plus.
• Fluent English (spoken and written) with excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, show initiative and manage complex issues with limited supervision.
• Strong team player, flexible and willing to work beyond regular hours to meet client needs.
