Legal Supervisor

About the role

The Legal Supervisor will support the business in handling day‑to‑day legal matters across commercial agreements, compliance reviews, intellectual property, corporate governance and legal disputes. Working closely with internal stakeholders and external counsel, the role ensures timely legal support and adherence to applicable laws and regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements such as supplier, distribution, marketing, licensing and other business contracts.
• Assist in managing legal disputes, including product liability claims, consumer complaints and commercial litigation.
• Coordinate with external legal counsel and internal teams on disputes and other legal matters.
• Conduct legal and compliance reviews, identify non‑compliance areas and recommend corrective actions.
• Perform legal research on FMCG‑relevant issues, corporate governance and emerging legal trends, and prepare opinions, memos and reports.
• Support corporate governance and Corporate Secretary activities, maintaining relevant corporate documents.
• Manage intellectual property matters, including trademark registration, renewal, monitoring and record maintenance.
• Stay updated on laws affecting FMCG operations such as consumer protection, advertising and product labeling, and provide day‑to‑day legal support to internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law; a Master’s degree or specialization is an advantage.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in FMCG, trading, manufacturing, retail or related sectors.
• Good knowledge of FMCG‑related laws and regulations, including consumer protection, advertising and product labeling.
• Familiarity with intellectual property law and practical experience in trademark matters.
• Fluent in English and Myanmar, both written and spoken.
