People & Culture Officer – Payroll & HRIS

About the role

The People & Culture Officer will manage payroll processing, ensure tax compliance and maintain the HRIS systems (Oracle, On‑Desk & Agresso). This position supports accurate staff payments, data integrity and reporting for Save the Children Myanmar.

Key responsibilities

• Process monthly payroll across manual and system platforms, handle deductions, adjustments, loans, advances and distribute e‑payslips.
• Coordinate with recruitment and finance to update payroll data for new hires, transfers, promotions and terminations.
• Maintain and update staff records in Oracle and On‑Desk, generate regular staff lists and benefit data reports.
• Ensure compliance with national and international tax laws, statutory deductions and insurance reporting.
• Provide payroll data for internal and external audits and address employee queries.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, HR or related field (HR diploma or accounting certificate preferred).
• Proven experience in payroll processing and tax compliance.
• Strong knowledge of local labour laws and statutory requirements.
• Excellent attention to detail, problem‑solving and organizational skills.
