Fleet Manager – Lead Operations & Expansion

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Fleet Manager to lead our fleet operations and support our strategic growth plan. The role will oversee the performance, technical operations, and business planning of a fleet that aims to expand to 200–300 trucks and trailers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead overall fleet operations, including truck and trailer maintenance, repair, and operational readiness.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans to reduce downtime and improve reliability.
• Monitor fleet utilization, fuel efficiency, maintenance costs, and operational KPIs.
• Drive cost optimisation, productivity improvement, and transportation efficiency.
• Create fleet expansion strategies, annual plans, and operational budgets.
• Prepare management reports, performance analyses, and improvement initiatives.
• Lead and develop fleet teams, including mechanics, drivers, and supervisors.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or relevant qualification.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in fleet management, trucking, or transportation operations.
• Strong technical knowledge of trucks, trailers, and heavy vehicles.
• Experience in fleet planning, budgeting, and operational strategy development.
• Demonstrated leadership, communication, and problem‑solving abilities.
