SAP S/4HANA Support Assistant Manager

About the role

The SAP S/4HANA Support Assistant Manager leads SAP S/4HANA application support and maintenance services, ensuring system availability, performance and continuous improvement. The role covers incident resolution, system enhancements and support across core SAP modules, working with business stakeholders, internal IT teams and external service providers.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the end-to-end support ticketing process, SLA compliance, incident resolution, root-cause analysis and problem management, and manage Level 2/3 escalations with internal and external partners.
• Monitor system performance, database usage, background jobs and logs to prevent disruptions.
• Lead, mentor and evaluate support team members, and work with business unit leaders to align SAP S/4HANA with business needs.
• Manage enhancement requests, prioritise support backlogs and coordinate upgrades, releases and system updates.
• Oversee module configurations, user authorisations, Fiori access and master data governance, and coordinate unit testing, integration testing and UAT.
• Maintain system documentation, SOPs and records of configurations and custom developments.
• Support adoption of Fiori, embedded analytics and digital workflows, and ensure compliance with data privacy, audit, security and change management requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum 4-5 years of SAP experience, including 2-3 years of hands-on SAP S/4HANA experience.
• Strong functional knowledge of at least one core SAP module (FI/CO, MM, SD, PP or EWM) and experience in application support and enhancements.
• Leadership, analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.

Required skills

• SAP S/4HANA and at least one core SAP module.
• Working knowledge of SAP Fiori, system configuration and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with CDS views and basic ABAP debugging is an advantage.
