Risk Management Specialist

About the role

The ERM Specialist supports the enterprise-wide risk management framework by identifying, measuring, monitoring, and reporting risks across market, liquidity, and operational domains. The role provides actionable insights to senior management, Risk Committees, and the Board.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, assess, monitor and report risks in line with the Board‑approved Risk Appetite, using quantitative techniques such as VaR, stress testing and scenario analysis.
• Oversee operational risk activities including incident management, RCSA, control testing and Business Continuity Planning coordination.
• Develop, maintain and enhance Key Risk Indicators as early‑warning signals and ensure accurate data collection and validation.
• Prepare and present risk reports and dashboards for senior management and governance bodies.
• Promote risk awareness through training sessions, workshops and case studies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, Accounting or related field.
• 2‑3 years of relevant experience in the banking industry.
• Knowledge of Myanmar financial markets and strong analytical, detail‑oriented mindset.
• Good interpersonal and teamwork skills with proficiency in English and Myanmar.

Required skills

• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office.
• Working knowledge of Power BI (preferred).
