Financial Planning and Analysis Specialist

About the role

This role supports the Finance Business Partner (FBP) in budgeting, forecasting, management reporting and decision-making support. It covers the creation of the annual strategic plan, zero-based budgeting, monthly rolling forecasts, cash flow planning and the analysis of portfolio business performance.

Key responsibilities

• Budgeting and planning: support the FBP in creating, managing and reviewing the annual strategic plan, KPIs and the zero-based budget process; work with departments on a detailed, accurate yearly budget; review rolling forecasts and weekly/monthly cash flow forecasts; develop business cases for expansion projects.
• Management reporting: prepare and review the monthly management report for the management meeting, attend reviews with the GM and FBP, track performance with charts and graphs, and track budget variances and investigate large ones.
• Performance analysis: review revenue mix and profitability by centre, channel, product, customer, segment and function, and monitor trends.
• Decision support: build analytical reporting tools, analyze historical financials and key ratios, advise on pricing, promotions and compensation, review purchase requests and project expenditures, and evaluate the cost-efficiency of each department.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• Accounting certifications (CPA, ACCA or CIMA) highly preferred.
• 3+ years of progressive accounting or FP&A/finance experience.
• Excellent verbal and written English and strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Required skills

• Thorough understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
• Familiarity with ERP software systems.
