Manager – Business Control (Commercial)

About the role

The Manager – Business Control (Commercial) acts as a strategic finance partner for commercial functions, supporting Marketing, Sales & Distribution, B2B, Digital and Mobile Financial Services. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Business Control, the role drives financial planning, performance management and investment governance to enable sustainable growth and cost efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Annual Operation Plan (AOP) development and monthly forecasting for commercial functions, building cost‑driver models and monitoring actual performance against budgets.
• Own commercial OPEX control, manage provisions, accruals, month‑end closing and approve spending requests while ensuring compliance with policies and internal controls.
• Conduct detailed revenue, cost and profitability analysis, lead monthly performance reviews, and develop dashboards and KPIs for senior leadership.
• Evaluate investment proposals, present business cases in Investment Control forums, and perform post‑investment reviews to verify benefits realization.
• Partner with CXOs and commercial leaders, providing financial insights, scenario analysis and supporting vendor negotiations and strategic initiatives.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in financial management, business performance analysis or strategic planning, including at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in the telecom industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, reporting, controlling or statistics; professional qualification such as MBA, ACCA is preferred.
