Cashier Supervisor

About the role

The Cashier Supervisor oversees daily cash operations, ensuring accurate cash handling, efficient queue management, and high levels of customer satisfaction. This role works closely with finance, IT, and software teams to maintain smooth cash flow processes.

Key responsibilities

• Assign daily duties and monitor denomination processes and allocation.
• Manage shortage/overage awareness and control cash counter queues.
• Coordinate with the finance department on cash‑flow procedures.
• Oversee shift‑end procedures, cash collection, and reconciliation.
• Handle customer inquiries and complaints promptly.
• Maintain category awareness and bagging control.
• Coach team members and support people development.
• Liaise with software and IT teams to enhance customer satisfaction.

Required profile

• 3‑4 years of experience in cash handling or related fields.
• Demonstrated honesty and integrity.
• Strong understanding of cash‑flow management, fraud prevention, and psychological awareness of counterfeit detection.
• Ability to differentiate genuine from counterfeit currency.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Gmail.
