About the role
The Vice President – Regulatory Engagement leads the bank’s end‑to‑end interaction with regulatory authorities. The role ensures timely, accurate communication, oversees reporting, examinations and audits, and drives regulatory change to align the bank’s policies with supervisory expectations.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact with regulators, managing day‑to‑day queries, information requests and follow‑ups.
- Review regulatory letters and approval submissions, ensuring timely and compliant responses.
- Track all regulatory engagements, prepare briefing notes for visits, and maintain a structured repository of communications and action items.
- Oversee regulatory change management, maintain the compliance register and provide regular status reports to senior management.
- Lead, mentor and develop the regulatory engagement team to strengthen capability and professional standards.
Required profile
- University degree in Business, Finance, Banking, Law or a related field.
- Minimum 4‑5 years of experience in banking compliance, regulatory governance or risk management, with proven regulatory engagement experience.
