Business Development Director - Hotel Industry

About the role

A diversified Myanmar business group with interests in agribusiness, financial services, healthcare and property development is looking for a Business Development Director to drive growth in its hotel business. The role builds corporate and institutional partnerships, influences investment and expansion plans, and turns connections with multinational companies, government organisations, NGOs and other partners into long-term commercial accounts.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategies to grow hotel revenue and expand business opportunities
• Build relationships with multinational companies, corporate clients, government organisations, NGOs and strategic partners
• Identify market opportunities, evaluate potential investments and develop business proposals
• Manage key accounts and negotiate contracts
• Coordinate with hotel operations so service delivery meets client expectations
• Monitor business development performance and contribute to investment and commercial decisions with senior management

Required profile

• At least 10 years of experience
• Strong understanding of the hotel industry
• Proven track record of generating revenue, developing corporate and institutional accounts and building strategic partnerships
• Experience engaging multinational companies, government organisations and NGOs is particularly relevant
