Assistant Chief Accountant

About the role

Fortune Elevator & Escalator is seeking an experienced Assistant Chief Accountant to support the financial operations of its growing elevator and escalator business. The role will be based at the MICT Park in Hlaing Township, Yangon, and will involve close collaboration with engineering and project teams.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee full‑set accounting functions and ensure accurate month‑end closing.
• Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, and regulatory filings.
• Manage project accounting, cost control, revenue and expense tracking for engineering and construction projects.
• Lead and supervise the accounting team, providing guidance and performance feedback.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis for the business.

Required profile

• Strong experience in accounting management and financial reporting.
• Background in engineering, heavy machinery, construction or other project‑based industries.
• Proven ability to handle project accounting, cost control and expense management.
• Experience supervising an accounting team.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
