Accountant

About the role

A Insurance is seeking a detail‑oriented Accountant to join its Finance team. The role involves handling payment vouchers, claim payments and daily cash operations within an insurance environment.

Key responsibilities

• Enter payment voucher data in SQL Accounting Software and verify receipt vouchers.
• Process claim payments via the Core Insurance System and corporate iBanking.
• Conduct daily cash counts and cash‑book checks on a rotational basis.
• Update and reconcile Claim Log Excel records against the SQL system.
• Verify bank interest calculations and record interest receipt vouchers.
• Scan and distribute payable and receivable documents to relevant teams and branches.
• Perform other duties assigned by Finance Management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience or 2 years as a Junior Accountant.
• Experience with at least one accounting software.
• Good understanding of basic accounting concepts and classifications.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and teamwork abilities.
• Willingness to learn and take responsibility.

Required skills

• SQL accounting software usage.
• Microsoft Excel, including SUMIFS and VLOOKUP functions.
