WPE Response Officer – Women’s Protection and Empowerment

About the role

The WPE Response Officer will support women and girls affected by conflict in Kachin, Myanmar. Working under the supervision of the WPE Senior Officer, the role focuses on case management, psychosocial support and referral coordination for survivors of gender‑based violence.

Key responsibilities

• Jointly plan and oversee basic case management and psychosocial activities for GBV survivors in emergencies.
• Develop and maintain a referral process, identifying gaps and advocating for improved services.
• Provide technical supervision, mentoring and daily support to partner caseworkers.
• Ensure accurate documentation of cases in GBVIMS and/or Primero and maintain secure case files.
• Facilitate regular case management meetings and improve referral pathways through service mapping and external engagement.
• Lead psychosocial support group sessions and co‑facilitate curricula with partner staff.
• Conduct bi‑annual skills assessments for caseworkers and deliver targeted technical assistance.
• Prepare and submit monthly and quarterly work plans, reports and monitoring data.

Required profile

• Myanmar national with a strong commitment to women’s issues.
• Experience in humanitarian GBV response, case management or psychosocial support.
• Ability to work collaboratively with partners and community focal points.
• Excellent communication, documentation and advocacy skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with GBVIMS case management system.
• Proficiency with Primero data management platform.
