Medical Representative

About the role

The Medical Representative will drive sales of the company’s pharmaceutical brands within an assigned territory. The role focuses on building strong relationships with doctors, chemists and stockists, promoting products through scientific tools and ensuring high levels of customer service to meet business targets.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve sales targets by executing brand‑marketing plans, conducting market studies and placing the right product with the right customer.
• Increase prescriber base through doctor conversions, product demonstrations, PDA tools, reminder cards and academic activities.
• Monitor stock levels, product returns and expiry dates at stockists, and ensure product availability across the territory.
• Collect competitor information, manage point‑of‑sale billing and maintain daily call reports, call planners and travel plans.
• Develop in‑clinic effectiveness by detailing product benefits, discussing therapeutic indications and attending training programs.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry; oncology experience is a plus.
• Strong communication skills, confident body language and the ability to engage key stakeholders.
• Ability to analyse customer‑brand matrices, categorize doctors by potential and plan differentiated services.

Required skills

• Operating knowledge of computers.
• Proficiency with smartphones or tablets for field activities.
