Senior Finance Manager – Yangon, Myanmar

About the role

The Senior Finance Manager will be a strategic finance leader for a diversified group operating a refinery in Yangon, Myanmar. Reporting to senior management, the role combines day‑to‑day finance operations with high‑impact governance and performance improvement responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead finance and accounting functions, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow management.
• Oversee treasury activities, working capital optimisation and banking relationships.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, local tax regulations and internal audit standards.
• Develop and maintain robust internal controls and governance frameworks.
• Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support strategic and investment decisions.
• Drive continuous improvement in financial performance and reporting.
• Manage relationships with auditors, regulators and external stakeholders.
• Lead, mentor and develop the wider finance team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or related field.
• 8–12 years of progressive finance experience, with 3–5 years in a finance management role.
• Experience in a group of companies, holding company or large corporate environment preferred.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, taxation, treasury, budgeting, forecasting and internal controls.
• Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, CA or CIMA are advantageous.
• Excellent English communication skills.
