Tax Manager

About the role

Manage and oversee the Group’s tax affairs, ensuring full compliance with Myanmar tax laws, regulations and notifications. Provide professional tax advisory and compliance support to the Corporate Department and Business Units across the Group.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor tax filing and payment deadlines and ensure compliance with applicable requirements.
• Review tax computations, provisions, reconciliations and supporting schedules prepared by finance teams.
• Maintain complete and accurate tax records, working papers and correspondence.
• Provide tax advice on business transactions, investments, contracts, restructuring and inter‑company arrangements.
• Coordinate tax audits, inspections and assessments with government authorities and prepare required documentation.
• Develop and maintain tax governance, controls, documentation and reporting processes across the Group.
• Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations and update tax policies, procedures and templates.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics or related field (preferred).
• Professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, LCCI or relevant tax/accounting certification (preferred).
• 5–7 years of experience in taxation, corporate tax management, audit or finance.
• Strong knowledge of Myanmar tax laws, regulations and compliance requirements.
• Solid understanding of financial statements, accounting principles and tax reconciliation.
• Experience handling tax audits, assessments and communication with tax authorities.
