Senior Engineer (IP Core Network)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Engineer to lead the planning, operation and optimisation of our IP Core and Access Network. The role involves hands‑on implementation, troubleshooting and continuous improvement of network infrastructure in a fast‑paced ISP and data‑center environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, operate and maintain IP Core and Access Network infrastructure.
• Support, troubleshoot and implement network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls and OLTs.
• Monitor network performance, execute upgrades and optimise the network.
• Identify and resolve network incidents following SOPs, prepare incident reports and service‑improvement plans.
• Prepare MOP/SOP documentation for migrations and projects.
• Design, test, implement and document data‑center, core and metro (POP) network solutions.
• Coordinate with upstream service‑provider engineers (Level 2/3) to restore services within SLA.
• Manage escalated customer tickets, liaise with internal teams and external parties for rapid issue resolution.
• Perform regular maintenance of core and access network devices.
• Design POP site layouts, calculate power consumption and manage IP Transit, CDN and peering relationships.
• Provide training to the team and support 24/7 standby for Level 3 escalations.

Required profile

• 4–6 years of experience in ISP and data‑center network environments.
• CCNP certification is mandatory; CCIE is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VPN, VRF, MPLS, OSPF, ISIS, BGP, CGNAT, BNG and GPON technologies.
• Solid understanding of IP security and firewall solutions.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
