Senior Core Network Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Core Network Engineer to design, implement, and maintain our high‑availability core network infrastructure. The role involves ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and security across a large ISP/FTTH environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, configure, and maintain core routers, switches, firewalls, BNG/BRAS and related equipment.
• Manage IP/MPLS, OSPF, BGP, VLAN, STP, VRRP, QoS, NAT and other routing protocols.
• Perform capacity planning, performance tuning, and preventive maintenance.
• Troubleshoot complex connectivity, latency, packet‑loss and service‑interruption issues.
• Coordinate incident resolution with NOC, transmission, field engineering and technical support teams.
• Document network topology, IP addressing, routing policies and configuration records.
• Support deployment and expansion of FTTH infrastructure and core services.
• Lead root‑cause analysis for major incidents and drive preventive solutions.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in core network, ISP or FTTH environments.
• Strong knowledge of IP networking, routing & switching, and ISP architecture.
• Professional certifications such as CCNP, HCIP, JNCIP or equivalent are preferred.
• Proven ability to work under pressure, handle 24/7 on‑call duties and collaborate across teams.
