Senior Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to lead accounting operations within a fast‑moving retail and distribution environment. The role combines hands‑on transaction processing with supervision of reporting and cross‑functional coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Manage accounting operations for sales, purchases, inventory, and financial transactions.
• Supervise and review sales, purchase, stock, and accounts‑receivable reports.
• Control inventory transactions, perform stock reconciliation and costing.
• Execute month‑end closing, reconciliations and prepare financial reports.
• Ensure accounting records are accurate and comply with company policies.
• Coordinate with Sales, Warehouse, Purchasing and Finance teams.
• Provide guidance and support to junior accountants.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (B.Com).
• LCCI Level 3 (UK) qualification preferred.
• 3–5 years of accounting experience in retail, distribution or trading.
• Strong knowledge of sales, purchase, inventory, AR and financial reporting.
• Experience with ERP/accounting software (Galaxy) and advanced Excel.
• Good analytical, problem‑solving and communication abilities.
