Cashier Supervisor

About the role

The Cashier Supervisor oversees daily cash operations, ensuring accurate cash handling, efficient queue management, and high levels of customer satisfaction. This role coordinates with finance, IT, and software teams to maintain smooth cash flow and resolve inquiries.

Key responsibilities

• Assign daily duties and manage the denomination process and cash allocation.
• Monitor cash shortages or overages and control cash counters.
• Communicate with the finance department to process cash flow and manage end‑of‑shift cash collection.
• Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and ensure proper bagging and category control.
• Coordinate with software and IT teams to improve customer satisfaction.
• Coach and develop team members, fostering a culture of honesty and integrity.

Required profile

• 3–4 years of experience in cash handling, retail, or related finance roles.
• Strong integrity, attention to fraud prevention, and ability to distinguish real from counterfeit money.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with multiple departments.
