Deputy Finance Business Partner

About the role

The Deputy Finance Business Partner provides critical financial analysis and reporting to support business units and functions in achieving their strategic objectives. Working closely with senior finance teams, the role translates business plans into budgets, monitors performance against targets, and drives financial decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver financial analysis, economic profit calculations, and KPI monitoring for business units.
• Support budget preparation, forecast submissions, and capital expenditure proposals, including NPV calculations.
• Translate annual business plans into detailed budgets and track financial targets.
• Assist Business Heads with new product implementations, establishing accounting entries and GL codes.
• Conduct financial modelling, decision‑support simulations, and loan/collection analysis.
• Research and propose inter‑business unit fee structures within finance guidelines.
• Provide backup support to the finance manager and handle ad‑hoc tasks as directed.

Required profile

• Strong background in finance, accounting, or related discipline.
• Experience supporting business units with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Ability to analyse complex financial data and present actionable insights.
• Proficiency in preparing capital expenditure business cases and NPV analysis.
• Comfort working with senior stakeholders and cross‑functional teams.
