Project Assistant – Malaria Project (Mongmit Township)

About the role

The Project Assistant will support the delivery of life‑saving malaria services in Mongmit township, operating under complex security and access constraints. Working closely with the Project Coordinator, the role involves planning, monitoring and reporting on field activities, as well as supervising village volunteers.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Project Coordinator in planning work plans and field activities for the malaria project.
• Collect, verify and submit monthly reports on volunteer activities.
• Facilitate capacity‑building trainings and workshops for malaria volunteers and other stakeholders.
• Conduct regular monitoring visits to project villages and provide action‑oriented reports.
• Deliver health‑education sessions, behavior‑change communication and awareness‑raising activities at community level.
• Support budget estimation, cash forecasting and procurement of project materials and equipment.
• Maintain operational access by coordinating with local authorities, community leaders and relevant actors.
• Participate in malaria case reporting, investigation and other elimination activities.

Required profile

• Ability to work in restricted‑access, high‑security environments.
• Frequent travel (over 12 days per month) to field sites.
• Regular contact with project volunteers, beneficiaries and community members.
• Child safeguarding Level 3 compliance.
• No financial approval authority required.
