Operations Director

About the role

The Operations Director provides strategic leadership and oversight of World Vision Myanmar's field operations, ensuring effective, secure, adaptive, and accountable execution of Area Development Programmes, sponsorship operations, grants, humanitarian responses, and local partner implementation across the country.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and oversight of field operations across Myanmar, ensuring effective, secure and accountable delivery of Area Development Programmes, sponsorship, grants and humanitarian responses.
• Work closely with Zonal Managers, Operations Manager, Grants Management Manager, Sponsorship Manager, Emergency Operations Manager and support functions to align operations with the three‑year strategic plan and partnership standards.
• Ensure programmes are properly resourced, staffed and compliant with donor requirements, national regulations and organisational policies.
• Monitor audit findings, address issues promptly and maintain high‑quality customer service for donors and sponsors.
• Coordinate with HR, Finance and technical sectors (Resilience & Livelihood, Education, Health) to guarantee seamless integration between field and support teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience in senior operational leadership within complex, fragile environments.
• Strong understanding of risk, security and resource stewardship in humanitarian or development settings.
• Ability to drive performance, ensure compliance and foster collaboration across multiple functional areas.
• Excellent stakeholder management with donors, partners and internal teams.
