MYP Biology Teacher – International School in Mandalay

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Biology specialist to join our growing IB World School in Mandalay. You will inspire students to explore scientific concepts through inquiry‑based learning, investigation and real‑world application within the IB Middle Years Programme.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, concept‑driven Biology lessons within the IB MYP framework.
• Design and facilitate inquiry‑based activities, experiments and interdisciplinary projects.
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and interdisciplinary learning experiences.
• Support the ongoing development and refinement of the IB MYP programme.
• Maintain effective classroom management and foster a supportive learning environment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology or a related science field.
• PGCE with QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Proven experience teaching the IB MYP, preferably in an international school setting.
• Strong understanding of inquiry‑based and concept‑driven pedagogy.
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
• Passion for inspiring young scientists.
