Legal Specialist

About the role

Delivery Hero is hiring a Legal Specialist in Yangon. The role covers contract work, corporate secretarial tasks and legal operations for the local business, with a strong focus on Burmese law.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate complex commercial agreements and advise stakeholders on contract matters
• Provide legal assessments requested by the regional office or local stakeholders
• Prepare board resolutions, annual declarations to the Ministry of Commerce and ensure compliance with the Law on Commercial Enterprises
• Identify and implement process improvements for the local legal function
• Standardize agreement types and Service Level Agreements for each category
• Assist in preparing and executing legal agreements and contracts requested by other divisions

Required profile

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Law or a related field
• At least 3 years of experience in legal and compliance roles
• Strong understanding of Burmese legal and regulatory frameworks
• Fluency in written and spoken English

Required skills

• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial and legal agreements under Burmese law
• Analytical skills to assess legal and compliance risks and develop solutions in the Burmese context
