Head of Agency

About the role

Prudential is seeking a Head of Agency to lead its agency distribution channel. The role is responsible for driving sustainable sales growth, market share and profitability while building a high‑performing, disciplined agency force.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute agency strategies and business plans aligned with corporate priorities.
• Translate strategy into actionable field execution plans with clear targets, structures and timelines.
• Own end‑to‑end agency performance including sales, productivity, recruitment and persistency.
• Drive execution discipline through regular tracking, field insights and turnaround actions for under‑performing teams.
• Design and implement a structured recruitment strategy to build a sustainable pipeline of agents and leaders.
• Ensure agency structure aligns with target models (AUD/AAUD/AUM/Agent layers) and maintain quality recruitment.
• Oversee onboarding, training and continuous development of agents and agency leaders.
• Coach and develop leadership capability across business development managers and agency heads.
• Promote a performance‑driven, transparent culture with clear expectations, accountability and recognition.
• Coordinate closely with sales, operations and support functions to ensure SOP adherence and process discipline.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in agency sales or distribution within the financial services or insurance sector.
• Strong track record of delivering growth in sales, market share and profitability.
• Demonstrated ability to translate strategy into field execution and to manage large, geographically dispersed teams.
• Experience in recruitment, talent development and succession planning for agency networks.
• Excellent analytical skills with a data‑driven approach to decision making.
• Ability to foster a high‑performance, accountable culture and to address performance gaps decisively.
