Chief Accountant – Manufacturing Finance Lead

About the role

The Chief Accountant will partner with portfolio SMEs to ensure accurate monthly closures, robust budgeting, and strategic financial analysis across manufacturing entities. This role drives standardisation of accounting practices, supports ERP upgrades, and prepares executive‑level board presentations for the investment firm.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee monthly closure processes, delivering P&L, balance sheet and cash flow statements for each portfolio company.
• Guide design, implementation and monitoring of annual budgets and rolling cash forecasts.
• Analyse factory costing structures, variance analysis and optimisation of manufacturing margins.
• Audit and harmonise accounting treatments to comply with IFRS and Myanmar Accounting Standards.
• Prepare polished board decks summarising financial performance of multiple entities.
• Identify financial risks, working‑capital bottlenecks and growth opportunities for senior leadership.
• Develop and track operational KPIs such as inventory turnover and capacity utilisation.
• Conduct financial due diligence and fixed‑asset verification for prospective investments.
• Mentor internal accounting teams, addressing skill gaps and fostering capability growth.
• Advise on ERP selection and implementation to support scaling manufacturing operations.

Required profile

• Degree in accountancy or equivalent professional qualification (e.g., ACCA Part II or higher).
• Minimum 4 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing or investment environments.
• Strong communication skills in English and Myanmar.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
