Chief Accountant

About the role

The Chief Accountant will lead the finance function, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and strategic analysis. This senior position reports to senior management and works closely with cross‑functional teams to support operational decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee general ledger management and preparation of statutory financial statements.
• Develop and maintain budgets, forecasts, and financial models to guide strategic planning.
• Coordinate tax compliance, regulatory filings, and external audit processes.
• Implement and monitor internal controls, risk management practices, and accounting policies.
• Manage, mentor, and evaluate the performance of the accounting team.
• Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support business initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA, ACCA or similar qualification is a plus.
• Significant experience in a senior accounting or finance role, preferably within infrastructure, construction, or related industries.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and organizational abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency with ERP systems.
• Strong expertise in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience using dedicated accounting software.
