Business Development Manager

About the role

The Business Development Manager will lead the growth of our solar and renewable energy portfolio by identifying new market opportunities and securing high‑value contracts. You will work closely with engineering, procurement and project teams to ensure proposals are technically sound and commercially competitive.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute business development strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets.
• Identify, pursue and secure new opportunities in the solar and renewable energy market.
• Lead tender acquisition: spot opportunities, review requirements, coordinate bid submissions and manage the full tender process.
• Build and maintain relationships with government bodies, developers, consultants, EPC contractors and corporate clients.
• Prepare technical and commercial proposals, presentations and cost estimates in collaboration with engineering.
• Negotiate contracts and commercial agreements to maximise business value.
• Conduct market research, competitor analysis and monitor emerging industry trends.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure successful project delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Achieve annual sales targets, KPIs and revenue objectives.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Renewable Energy Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, tender management, sales or project development within solar, renewable energy or engineering.
• Proven track record in tender acquisition, bid management and project negotiation.
• Strong commercial acumen and excellent communication, negotiation and relationship‑management skills.
• Willingness to travel as required.
