Assistant HR Manager (Yangon)

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Assistant HR Manager to support our HR Manager in delivering effective HR services across the organization. This role will be based in Yangon and involves hands‑on involvement in recruitment, payroll, employee relations and policy implementation.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the HR Manager in managing overall HR operations and implementing HR strategies and policies.
• Handle end‑to‑end recruitment processes, including job posting, CV screening, interviews, reference checks and onboarding.
• Oversee attendance, leave, overtime, payroll preparation and maintenance of employee records.
• Manage performance appraisal cycles, KPI tracking, probation reviews and employee development initiatives.
• Address employee relations issues, grievances, disciplinary matters and workplace concerns.
• Develop and update HR policies, procedures and related initiatives to ensure compliance with labor laws.
• Prepare HR reports and provide data analysis to senior management.
• Supervise and support the HR team to ensure smooth and effective HR operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or a related field.
• 2–4 years of HR experience, preferably with supervisory or managerial responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of recruitment, payroll, performance management, employee relations and labor legislation.
• Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal and problem‑solving abilities.
• Highly organized with the capacity to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience using HR software or HR information systems.
