Accounting Manager – Manufacturing Finance (Myanmar)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead the finance function of our manufacturing plant in Myanmar. The role combines financial reporting, cost accounting, and team leadership in a fast‑moving international environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all accounting activities for the plant, ensuring timely monthly, quarterly and annual closes.
• Prepare financial and management reports for local leadership and corporate headquarters.
• Lead factory cost accounting, analysing material, labour and overhead variances.
• Monitor inventory valuation, manufacturing performance indicators and drive cost‑control initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with local statutory, tax regulations and internal controls; coordinate external audits.
• Lead, coach and develop the local accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability.
• Partner with plant management, operations, supply chain and corporate finance on budgeting, forecasting and strategic decision‑making.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of accounting experience, including 3‑5 years in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience leading and developing accounting teams.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, taxation and statutory compliance.
• Good command of English for business communication.
• Willingness to relocate and work in Myanmar.

Required skills

• Cost accounting and cost‑control expertise.
• Experience with ERP systems – Microsoft Dynamics AX or similar platforms.
