About the role
The International Rescue Committee is seeking a WPE Response Officer to lead case management and psychosocial support for survivors of gender‑based violence across eight Women’s and Girls Wellness Centers in Sittwe, Myanmar. The role combines direct service delivery with supervision of case workers and coordination with local NGOs and community leaders.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, oversee and deliver individual case management and group‑based psychosocial support sessions for GBV survivors.
- Supervise and provide technical guidance to the Case Worker Supervisor, case workers, volunteers and incentive staff.
- Develop and maintain a referral system, mapping services and advocating for improved access to quality care.
- Ensure accurate documentation, confidentiality, and proper storage of case files.
- Facilitate regular case management meetings and self‑care sessions for staff.
- Represent WPE programming with community leaders, NGOs and other GBV actors.
- Collaborate with the Senior Program Officer and Manager to design program strategy and adapt services to local needs.
Required profile
- Demonstrated commitment to advancing women’s issues and supporting GBV survivors.
- Experience supervising case workers or similar staff in humanitarian or NGO settings.
- Strong understanding of GBV referral pathways and psychosocial support principles.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders and maintain confidentiality.
