Store Accountant

About the role

The Store Accountant will join Million Mart Group’s retail team in Mingaladon, Yangon Region. This full‑time, on‑site position is responsible for handling daily financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and supporting the store’s financial health.

Key responsibilities

• Record sales, expenses, and cash movements in the accounting system.
• Prepare and reconcile cash, bank, and inventory reports.
• Verify supporting documents and investigate discrepancies between physical stock and system records.
• Assist with month‑end closing activities and generate financial summaries for management.
• Support internal and external audits and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Collaborate with store operations, procurement, and management teams to provide transparent financial information.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum LCCI Level 2; professional certifications are a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and numerical aptitude.
• Ability to work on‑site, manage time efficiently, and handle multiple tasks in a fast‑paced retail environment.
• Commitment to ethical conduct, confidentiality, and adherence to financial regulations.

Required skills

• Proficiency with spreadsheets.
• Experience using accounting software.
