RTM Associate – Route to Market Specialist

About the role

The RTM Associate will support the RTM & Commercial Excellence Manager in shaping and executing route‑to‑market strategies for JTI in Myanmar. This role focuses on optimizing coverage, route management and distribution performance to drive sales efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Streamline RTM strategy for different areas based on commercial agendas and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
• Implement and continuously improve coverage, route‑to‑market and channel strategies, including trade segmentation, wholesale mapping and route optimisation.
• Validate route creation proposals from distributors, ensuring alignment with RTM principles and business objectives.
• Develop, maintain and communicate coverage policies, guidelines, databases and documentation.
• Deliver training to field force on coverage principles, route optimisation and RTM tools such as ArcGIS.
• Monitor distribution performance, coverage productivity and route efficiency, providing data‑driven insights to achieve KPIs.
• Analyse outlet, customer and geographic data to identify growth opportunities and support strategic decision‑making.
• Develop and maintain RTM dashboards, reports and scorecards, and conduct post‑implementation reviews.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in any discipline.
• 3‑5 years of experience in sales operations, route‑to‑market, territory or distribution management within a multinational consumer goods company.
• Strong commercial acumen and understanding of territory and channel management.
• Valid driving licence and proficient English communication skills.

Required skills

• ArcGIS for route planning and geographic analysis.
• MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) for data analysis and reporting.
