Part‑Time IT Consultant – Advisory & Implementation

About the role

The company is seeking a part‑time IT Consultant to advise and support its IT systems and infrastructure. As there is currently no internal IT department, the consultant will assess needs, recommend solutions and guide implementation to ensure efficient and secure operations.

Key responsibilities

• Assess current technology usage and identify IT needs.
• Develop an IT roadmap and implementation plan.
• Recommend and oversee hardware, software, and network solutions.
• Advise on data security, backup systems and cybersecurity practices.
• Assist in vendor selection and negotiate IT‑related services.
• Oversee installation and setup of IT infrastructure.
• Provide staff training on basic IT usage and best practices.
• Create IT policies, procedures and documentation.
• Ensure cost‑effective and scalable IT solutions.
• Provide ongoing advisory support and troubleshooting when required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or related field.
• 5–10 years of relevant IT experience, preferably with SMEs or startups.
• Experience setting up IT systems for SMEs or startups preferred.
• Experience in IT infrastructure planning and implementation.
• Basic knowledge of business systems (ERP, accounting, HR) preferred.
