MEAL Coordinator – Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability & Learning

About the role

The MEAL Coordinator will lead the monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning functions for Oxfam GB’s projects in Myanmar. Working closely with programme teams and partners, the role ensures data‑driven decision‑making and contributes to a knowledge‑based organisational culture.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, implement and provide technical leadership for MEAL activities across enterprise development, livelihoods grants and market‑system projects.
• Develop and maintain MEAL plans, logical frameworks, indicators and targets.
• Design high‑quality MEAL tools, templates and data‑collection processes in coordination with stakeholders.
• Maintain clean project databases, conduct quantitative and qualitative data analysis, and present insights for management decisions.
• Carry out regular participatory monitoring, document findings and recommend improvements.
• Perform routine data‑quality assessments and support partner organisations in strengthening their reporting.
• Lead qualitative and quantitative studies to capture project outcomes and changes.
• Facilitate reflection, learning and review workshops with project and partner teams.
• Support partner‑led complaints and feedback mechanisms, including capacity‑building and mainstreaming accountability practices.

Required profile

• National applicant (Myanmar citizen).
• Proven experience in monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning within development programmes.
• Familiarity with enterprise development, livelihoods grants and market‑system initiatives.

Required skills

• Quantitative and qualitative data analysis.
• Database design and management.
• Development of MEAL tools and templates.
