Fleet Manager

About the role

The Fleet Manager is responsible for overseeing the company's fleet operations to ensure safe, efficient, reliable and cost‑effective vehicle management. This role includes planning vehicle allocation, supervising maintenance, and managing driver performance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily operations and utilization of the company fleet, including vehicle allocation, scheduling and availability.
• Oversee preventive maintenance, servicing and vehicle repairs, and review maintenance quotations and vendor performance.
• Manage drivers, duty rosters, attendance and performance, and monitor fuel consumption, mileage and operating costs.
• Ensure vehicle registration, insurance and compliance with safety policies and transportation regulations.
• Handle vehicle accidents, incidents and insurance claims, and maintain accurate fleet, maintenance, fuel and driver records.
• Prepare monthly fleet performance, cost and utilization reports and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum 5–7 years of experience in fleet, transport or vehicle maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance and fleet operations.
• Leadership, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
