Data Center Senior Engineer

About the role

The Data Center Senior Engineer supports the maintenance and optimisation of U9's data centre infrastructure. Reporting to the Data Center Manager, the role involves both on‑site and remote technical support, preventive maintenance and supervision of vendor activities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide on‑site and remote technical support to maintain data centre system integrity.
• Perform preventive maintenance, repairs and recommendations for critical and non‑critical plant operations.
• Supervise network rack installations, power solutions and vendor hardware acceptance.
• Monitor daily energy consumption, fuel ordering, and solar power output, adjusting generator operation as needed.
• Validate data entries, generate reports for audit teams and review SLA/KPI performance.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in technology operations, with at least 1 year in a data centre role.
• Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical or cooling engineering.
• Knowledge of health & safety regulations in a technology environment.
• Proven ability to coordinate with third‑party vendors and manage high‑pressure situations.
