Business Development Manager – Solar Power (Myanmar)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive growth for our solar power business in Myanmar. The role focuses on identifying new market opportunities, securing tender contracts, and building strategic relationships with key stakeholders in the renewable energy sector.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute business development strategies to achieve sustainable revenue growth.
• Identify, pursue, and secure new opportunities in the solar and renewable energy market.
• Lead tender acquisition activities, from opportunity identification to bid submission and contract negotiation.
• Build and maintain relationships with government agencies, developers, consultants, EPC contractors, and corporate clients.
• Prepare technical and commercial proposals, presentations, and cost estimates in collaboration with engineering teams.
• Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and monitor emerging industry trends.
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and project teams to ensure successful project delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Achieve annual sales targets, business development KPIs, and revenue objectives.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, tender management, sales, or project development within solar, renewable energy, or engineering sectors.
• Proven track record in tender acquisition, bid management, and contract negotiation.
• Established network with government agencies, consultants, developers, and industry stakeholders is an advantage.
• Willingness to travel as required.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of solar PV systems.
