Assistant Sales Manager

Key responsibilities

• Engage customers through calls, emails, and sales visits; maintain visit reports in Salesforce.
• Support pricing negotiations, prepare and confirm quotations, and manage bookings.
• Coordinate rate agreement (RFA) requests, approvals, and system filings in OPUS and Tiger.
• Liaise with Trade, CSVC, C/A, CASO, and offshore teams to resolve pricing, booking, and rating issues.
• Promote online booking, Salesforce usage, and other e‑commerce services.
• Monitor space utilization and support booking release processes.
• Handle special operational cases such as long‑stay containers, re‑export/re‑shipment, audits, disputes, and cargo abandonment.
• Ensure compliance with company SOPs and prevent dummy bookings prior to vessel departure.
• Share market intelligence and pricing insights to support sales team performance.
• Reporting and presentation to management, including the relevant Trade management (RHQ/GHQ).

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Sales, or a related field (preferred).
• Experience in sales operations, pricing, or commercial roles (shipping/logistics experience is an advantage).
• Strong communication, negotiation, and coordination skills.
• Detail‑oriented with strong problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
