Supply & Logistics Manager (P-4) – Fixed Term

About the role

The Supply & Logistics Manager reports to the Deputy Representative Operations and leads the supply chain functions of UNICEF’s country office in Myanmar. The role oversees planning, procurement, contracting, customs clearance, warehousing, transport and distribution, ensuring that programme needs are met efficiently and in line with humanitarian standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the Supply section, coordinating all supply chain activities for a medium‑to‑large country office and emergency response operations.
• Oversee procurement, contracting, customs clearance, warehousing, in‑country transport and distribution of goods and services.
• Monitor supplies, services and construction works to ensure compliance with UNICEF policies and donor requirements.
• Collaborate closely with programme teams and implementing partners to define supply interventions that achieve results for children.
• Provide technical and advisory support to government bodies, national systems and partners on supply chain management.
• Drive innovation in products and markets to improve supply chain efficiency.

Required profile

• Advanced university degree in Business Administration, Management, Economics, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Procurement, Contract/Commercial Law, International Development, Health or a related field.
• Minimum eight (8) years of relevant experience at national and international levels in supply, logistics, procurement, contracting or related technical fields.
• Strong understanding of development and humanitarian contexts.
• Proven ability to resolve complex and sensitive situations under pressure.
