Sr. Fiber Laying Manager & Sr. Fiber Splicing Manager

About the role

Manage fiber cable laying activities, ensuring route, installation method, productivity, quality and safety requirements are achieved. Oversee fiber splicing operations, guaranteeing splice quality, testing, documentation and readiness for restoration.

Key responsibilities

• Plan fiber laying work fronts and crews.
• Supervise contractors and installation teams.
• Verify route and installation compliance.
• Monitor productivity, material usage and quality.
• Coordinate site constraints and restoration of work areas.
• Plan splicing teams and work schedules.
• Supervise splice quality and procedures.
• Ensure OTDR/power test evidence is complete.
• Control splice records and closure documentation.
• Resolve splice defects and repeat issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Diploma in Telecommunications, Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years experience in fiber deployment, field operations or fiber splicing.

Required skills

• Fiber cable installation on duct and aerial routes, pulling and blowing methods.
• Fusion splicing, OTDR and power testing, splice closures and ODF/ODN documentation.
• Health, safety and environment (HSE) compliance; CFOT or equivalent certification is an advantage.
