Senior Legal Officer

About the role

We’re hiring a Senior Legal Officer to join our dynamic Legal & Compliance team at Global Technology Group. The role involves overseeing legal risk, providing high‑level advice and ensuring compliance in a fast‑paced, tech‑driven environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead legal drafting and review of complex contracts, NDAs, MOUs, employment agreements and legal notices.
• Participate in contract negotiations with internal stakeholders, clients, vendors and regulators.
• Identify, assess and mitigate legal risks across company operations.
• Monitor changes in Myanmar laws and ensure internal policies remain compliant.
• Oversee litigation matters, coordinate with external counsel and manage case documentation.
• Support corporate governance, board and shareholder meeting documentation.
• Manage the legal documentation and contracts database, ensuring security and accuracy.
• Mentor junior legal officers, provide training and review their outputs.
• Collaborate with Finance, HR, Operations and Business Development on cross‑functional initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B) or higher; legal license (Advocate) preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in a corporate legal department or law firm.
• Deep knowledge of Myanmar corporate, commercial and labour laws.
• Proven ability to handle contracts, disputes and regulatory matters independently.
• Excellent legal research, analysis and writing skills in English and Myanmar.
• Strong interpersonal, negotiation and multi‑tasking abilities.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with legal research tools.
• Familiarity with document management systems.
