Senior Functional Consultant – Hospital Management System (EMR)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Functional Consultant to join our Hospital Management System (HMS) and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) product team. The consultant will act as the bridge between healthcare users, business stakeholders, and the technical teams, ensuring that hospital and clinical workflows are captured and translated into effective system solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze business and clinical requirements by working closely with doctors, nurses, pharmacists, administrators, finance teams and hospital management.
• Conduct workshops and stakeholder interviews to gather detailed workflow information.
• Translate requirements into functional specifications, user stories, workflows, and acceptance criteria.
• Design and document hospital and EMR workflows across registration, appointment, OPD/IPD, EMR, prescriptions, labs, radiology, pharmacy, billing, insurance, inventory, and reporting.
• Collaborate with product managers, UI/UX designers, developers, and QA engineers to define functional solutions and review UI/UX designs.
• Prioritize requirements based on business value and operational impact.
• Support implementation projects from requirement gathering through go‑live, including configuration, data migration, and functional testing.

Required profile

• Mid to senior‑level experience in functional consulting or business analysis, preferably within healthcare IT.
• Strong understanding of hospital and clinical workflows.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with diverse healthcare stakeholders.
• Ability to produce clear functional documentation and support implementation activities.
