Senior Auditor

About the role

The Senior Auditor will lead internal audit engagements for Zwe Htet Gold & Jewellery, covering financial, operational and compliance areas. Based on‑site in Yangon, you will work closely with finance, operations and management to strengthen controls and improve efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute and report on internal audits across the organization.
• Assess internal controls, test transactions and processes, and identify risks or irregularities.
• Prepare clear audit reports, recommend practical improvements and follow up on remediation actions.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure compliance with policies, regulations and industry standards.
• Support the development of audit methodologies, best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Mentor junior audit staff and contribute to the enhancement of internal audit standards.
• Conduct periodic on‑site reviews in various business areas as needed.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of auditing principles, internal controls, risk assessment and compliance.
• Proficiency in financial analysis, accounting standards and review of financial statements.
• Experience conducting operational audits and evaluating workflow efficiency.
• Ability to produce concise audit reports and communicate findings to management.
• High integrity, professional ethics and meticulous attention to detail.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field; CPA, CIA or similar certifications are a plus.
• Previous senior‑level audit experience, preferably in manufacturing or retail, with familiarity of inventory controls and valuation in the gold/jewellery sector.
