Relationship Manager – Financial Institutions

About the role

The Relationship Manager will be responsible for developing and managing a portfolio of financial institution clients, including foreign, local, and state‑owned banks. The role focuses on expanding correspondent banking relationships, handling nostro/vostro accounts across multiple currencies, and supporting trade and treasury product sales.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and cultivate relationships with key banks by region and currency, leveraging CB Bank’s correspondent bank list.
• Organise calls and visits to foreign bank representative offices in Yangon to generate business opportunities.
• Coordinate product sales initiatives with regional APEC and global banks.
• Obtain credit limits for trade and treasury products from partner banks.
• Send and manage SWIFT messages for RMA setup, account opening, and query handling.
• Provide comprehensive service to partner banks by liaising with internal departments.
• Manage appointments, meetings, and inbound calls, ensuring timely and accurate information delivery.
• Work independently, escalating issues to management when necessary.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in corporate banking, financial institutions, or related fields; fresh graduates may also apply.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills in Burmese and English.
• Ability to interact effectively with all organisational levels and work as a team player.
• Additional language skills (Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Thai) are an advantage.
• Self‑motivated, analytical, and customer‑service oriented.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Experience with SWIFT messaging and RMA processes.
