Relationship Manager – Financial Institutions (Chinese Speaking)

About the role

The Relationship Manager will be responsible for developing and maintaining a portfolio of financial institution clients, including foreign, local and state‑owned banks. The role focuses on expanding correspondent banking relationships, managing nostro/vostro accounts across multiple currencies, and identifying new business opportunities in Yangon.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and grow a portfolio of financial institution clients, both foreign and local.
• Identify and nurture relationships with key banks on CB Bank’s correspondent bank list.
• Manage nostro/vostro account relationships for currencies such as USD, EUR, JPY, CNH, SGD, INR, THB, GBP, AUD, etc.
• Organise calls and visits to foreign bank representative offices in Yangon to source business opportunities.
• Identify product sales opportunities with regional APEC and global banks.
• Obtain credit limits for trade and treasury products from partner banks.
• Send SWIFT messages to establish RMA and open nostro accounts, and handle related queries.
• Coordinate with internal departments to deliver comprehensive services to partner banks.
• Work independently, own issues, and escalate to management when necessary.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in financial institutions or corporate banking.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong customer‑service orientation, analytical ability and self‑motivation.
• Ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels and work as a team player.
• Proficiency in English; Chinese language skills are an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Experience using SWIFT for banking communications.
