Project Officer – Nutrition (OTP)

About the role

Save the Children International is seeking a dedicated Project Officer to lead the Nutrition OTP (Outpatient Therapeutic Programme) and TSFP (Targeted Supplementary Feeding Programme) activities in Rakhine. The role involves technical support, field monitoring, team management, and close coordination with health actors and partners to ensure high‑quality nutrition services for vulnerable children.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise the OTP/TSFP components of the IMAM project, ensuring quality case management.
• Liaise with health actors and IYCF teams to secure comprehensive referrals and health education.
• Compile, analyse and report OTP/TSFP field statistics using monitoring tools.
• Assist in drafting donor and other project reports.
• Conduct capacity‑building trainings for OTP staff, volunteers and partners.
• Organise monthly nutrition team meetings and support budgeting and work‑plan development.
• Ensure necessary staff, equipment and supplies are available for OTP centres.
• Participate in coverage, anthropometric surveys and rapid assessments as required.
• Promote safeguarding by providing beneficiaries with information on child protection policies.
• Undertake any additional duties assigned by the Project Manager.

Required profile

• Experience managing nutrition projects, particularly OTP/TSFP interventions.
• Ability to supervise a small team (1‑5 community facilitators and MEAL assistant).
• Strong coordination skills with health, IYCF and other sector partners.
• Familiarity with child safeguarding protocols (Level 3 contact).
• Willingness to travel monthly for field monitoring visits.
