Project Officer (Health)

About the role

The Project Officer (Health) will support the design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the Strategic Purchasing pilot in Rakhine, Myanmar. Working as the field focal person, the role ensures operational efficiency, stakeholder coordination and evidence generation for future health financing initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day operations of the strategic purchasing pilot and ensure activities follow the work plan.
• Coordinate with local government agencies, health providers and development partners.
• Verify clinic documentation, assist in developing provider contracts, payment mechanisms and monitoring frameworks.
• Conduct patient exit interviews, collect and analyse service delivery and financial data, and prepare progress reports.
• Facilitate communication between local governments, providers and communities, organising workshops and training sessions.
• Track project expenditures, ensure compliance with donor and government requirements, and propose risk‑mitigation strategies.

Required profile

• Myanmar national.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with diverse local stakeholders.
• Level 3 child safeguarding clearance (regular contact with children).
